Job summary

Qualifications

• RN with minimum of three years of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN).
• Master of Science in Nursing Degree required.
• Unencumbered Mississippi RN license required.
• Satisfy all clinical requirements including background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses assigned.
• Adhere to class and clinical schedules.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, calendars, etc.
• Communicate concerns to course, clinical, and/or program coordinators.
• Follow policies of clinical site, the University, and nursing programs.
• Submit course documentation as scheduled.
• Communicate course and program requirements to students.
• Maintain office hours for student support and advisement.
• Collaborate with coordinators to plan and evaluate courses.
• Direct and/or supervise students in clinical settings.
• Attend scheduled meetings related to course, clinical, program, school, college, and university activities.
• Participate in service opportunities on/off campus.
• Engage in shared governance opportunities within the university.
