Qualifications

• Earned Master's required; Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred.
• Current California Public Health Certificate or eligible for certification in California.
• Three years of work experience as a public health or community health nurse in California.
• Teaching experience of diverse students at the baccalaureate or higher degree level, preferred.
• Unencumbered California registered nurse license or eligible for licensure in California.
• Experience working with leadership in healthcare academic institutions and community organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a dynamic, learner-centered environment using diverse teaching methods.
• Coach and mentor students; develop learning plans for achievement of course objectives.
• Supervise clinical rotations and evaluate student progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings and university or college committees.
• Provide service to the profession and the community.
