Job summary

Unitek Learning in California is seeking a per diem Nursing Instructor to teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical obstetrics settings. You will collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations, and evaluate student performance with accurate records.

• Valid, active RN license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or higher with coursework in nursing or education, administration (OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Medical-Surgical).
• At least four years of direct patient care experience as an RN.
• Clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care.
• Expertise in OB-Gyn or Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics.

• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, technologies, and safety regulations in obstetrics.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning objectives and facility requirements.
• Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals.

Pay Range: $55-$62/hr.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration. OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry or Medical Surgical
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
• A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care). Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)
• Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics or OB-Gyn
