Job summary

Unitek College Of Nursing in California seeks an experienced faculty member to teach and supervise nursing students in obstetrics, both in the classroom and clinical settings. You will collaborate with faculty, grade examinations, and maintain accurate student records.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Clinical teaching experience within the last five years is preferred.
• Expertise in OB-Gyn, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Med/Surg or Pediatrics applications is valued.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and program assessment.
• Orient and mentor new faculty members in theory and clinical instruction.
• Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, technologies, and safety regulations in obstetrics.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet learning objectives and facility requirements.
• Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals.

Pay Range

The annual pay range for this position is $55.00 (minimum), $62.50 (midpoint), and $72.00 (maximum).*

*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration. OB, Pediatrics or Psychiatry
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
• A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care). Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)
• Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics or OB-Gyn
