Job summary

Jefferson Regional is seeking an Instructor for the BSN program in the School of Nursing. The role involves delivering classroom and clinical instruction, coordinating with nurses, physicians and educators, and assessing student learning outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN, active Arkansas RN license, and at least 3 years of acute care experience. A master's in nursing is preferred and enrollment within one year is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and/or postsecondary master's in nursing (preferred) - must enroll into a master's within 1 year.
• Current Arkansas RN Licensure.
• BLS/CPR upon hire or before patient care.
• 3 years of clinical experience, especially in acute care.
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills; collaboration with stakeholders.
• Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and clinical instruction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Evaluate teaching and learning activities to support student success.
• Provide direct and indirect student learning opportunities.
• Communicate with Director and faculty about student needs and progress.
• Manage clinical, simulation, lab and proctoring exams for the position.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Master's Degree in Nursing preferred

Graduate from accredited nursing program

Enrollment into master's in nursing within 1 year

Current Arkansas RN Licensure

BLS/CPR upon hire

3 years of clinical experience (acute care)

Adequate verbal and written communication

Capacity to collaborate with healthcare professionals
