Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, active California RN license.
• Minimum of four years of direct patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience within the past five years.
• Recent direct patient care experience within the past five years in the assigned specialty area (e.g., Med-Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health).
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materials.
• Develop instructional strategies that promote critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Evaluate student performance using nursing standards and program competencies.
• Facilitate integration of theory into patient care practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
• Participate in department meetings and shared governance activities as required.
