Job summary

Mutual 1st Federal Credit Union seeks a Compliance & Deposit Operations Manager to lead day-to-day deposit operations, account opening, and internal audit activities. You will serve as the BSA Officer, overseeing FinCEN filings and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate across management to improve processes, train staff, and advance product and service initiatives while mitigating risk for our 11,000+ members in the Omaha area.

Qualifications

• Three to Five years of similar or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications.
• Certified Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist designation preferred.
• Ability to motivate and influence others.
• Knowledge of Credit Union Law and Regulations.
• Knowledge of financial concepts, products and services.
• Familiarity with electronic banking equipment and transfer tech.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presence.
• Ability to coach and train staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support to managers on core ops, card products, reusable items, IRA/HSA, ITMs, shared branching, remote deposit capture, and mobile/online banking.
• Partner with Executives on product development, service enhancements, training, risk management and process improvement.
• Lead defined operational initiatives with detailed project plans and on-time delivery.
• As BSA Officer, implement BSA/AML policies and FinCEN filings.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws; liaise with external auditors and regulators.
• Deliver compliance training and develop internal audit protocols.
• Investigate time-sensitive internal/external fraud and manage fraud cases.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
