Job summary

Argent Credit Union is seeking a BSA Compliance Officer in Chester, VA to reinforce the organization’s compliance program. You will oversee BSA/AML requirements, write policies, perform risk assessments, and serve as the BSA and OFAC officer across multiple units.

You’ll collaborate with fraud, security, and operations teams, manage vendor relationships, conduct training, and prepare reports for leadership on risk exposures and losses to support informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and overseeing BSA/AML compliance.
• Ability to develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Proven experience coordinating with law enforcement and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with BSA and AML laws; write policies and risk assessments.
• Serve as the BSA and OFAC compliance officer across units.
• Ensure physical security and life safety across all locations; maintain Security Manual.
• Manage vendor relationships; primary contact for security and facilities.
• Investigate fraud, forgery, and member identity theft; liaise with law enforcement.
• Collaborate with Fraud Specialists to identify fraud trends and respond quickly.
• Conduct reviews of member identification and due diligence programs.
• Prepare reports on losses, recoveries, and risk exposures for leadership.
• Provide periodic training on loss prevention, OFAC, BSA, and security.
• Maintain confidentiality of Argent Credit Union information.
• Participate in staff meetings; contribute to policy improvements.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and regulatory updates.
• Support team to achieve the credit union’s mission and goals.
• Maintain a professional work environment and appearance.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
