Job summary

Carver Road Hospitality is seeking a Brunch Line Cook for its New York City restaurants, including Carversteak, Rosevale Cocktail Room, and Starchild Rooftop, located in the Civilian Hotel. You will prepare dishes from company recipes and keep the kitchen running smoothly, with a focus on quality and clean, organized work areas.

The ideal candidate can stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handles all allergy and dietary restrictions and modifications.
• Follows all orders from POS and expeditor.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, kitchen, and venue.
• Adheres to health and sanitation standards.
• Knows assigned recipes and execution.
• Communicates product needs to support staff.
• Checks cover counts, BEOs, and Fire Sheets.
• Plates and garnishes dishes following standard procedures.
• Performs inventory checks and food storage logs.
• Cleans cooking surfaces and sets up/opening/closing procedures.
• Attends daily pre-service meetings.
• Maintains professional appearance as per handbook.

Position Summary

The Brunch Line Cook is responsible for preparing food using Company recipes and menu items. The Brunch Line Cook keeps the kitchen running smoothly.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handles all allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications.
• Accurately follows all orders received from the POS systems and/or direction from the expeditor.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, kitchen, and the entire venue.
• Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and Company sanitation standards.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes and execution
• Communicates product needs to the support staff.
• Required to check cover counts, BEOs, and or Fire Sheets.
• Plates and garnishes dishes following standard procedures.
• Perform inventory checks and food storage logs.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces as needed.
• Properly sets-up station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable).
• Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
