Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Planner, Brownfields Redevelopment & Implementation to join the Infrastructure team in Florida. You will manage brownfields redevelopment projects, grants, and funding strategies, transforming underutilized properties into catalysts for communities.

As a client-facing project manager, you will lead collaboration across environmental, planning, economic development, and design professionals, guiding projects from visioning through implementation while engaging stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience managing brownfields redevelopment, community revitalization, or economic development projects.
• Experience managing EPA Brownfields grants and related federal/state programs.
• Ability to translate complex environmental/funding issues into clear client recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing project manager and strategic advisor for brownfields redevelopment, revitalization, and implementation projects.
• Manage EPA brownfields grants, including work plans, budgets, schedules, reporting support, consultant coordination, eligible activities, and implementation tracking.
• Develop redevelopment strategies that connect land use, infrastructure, environmental conditions, market opportunities, funding sources, and community priorities.
• Help communities move projects from visioning and planning into actionable implementation steps, including funding pursuits, partner coordination, site readiness, and next-phase project delivery.
• Coordinate with environmental, planning, economic development, engineering, landscape architecture, funding, and design professionals to advance redevelopment outcomes.
• Lead or support community engagement, stakeholder interviews, public meetings, workshops, and presentations for municipal clients, redevelopment agencies, and public/private partners.
