Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Brownfield Project Manager to join our Great Lakes environmental services team in the Midwest. The role focuses on due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental assessment, with responsibilities spanning Phase I/II ESAs, risk-based planning, and grant-funded projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in environmental project management, strong writing and communication skills, and familiarity with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and project management in at least one Great Lakes state.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• Experience managing federal or state funded brownfield/redevelopment projects in at least one Great Lakes state; licensure is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence, assessment, cleanup, and brownfield redevelopment projects with attention to safety, quality, detail, budget, and deadlines.
• Oversee Phase I and II ESAs, asbestos and lead-based paint sampling projects, with guidance on scope, schedule, and budget, and senior review of deliverables.
• Prepare proposals and other marketing materials; assist with grant applications for environmental projects.
• Scoping and scheduling field investigations; writing and reviewing technical work plans, reports, and health and safety plans.
• Field support including work planning, scheduling, and health and safety planning; following written work plans and Health and Safety Plans.
