Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Brownfield Project Manager for the Great Lakes region. You will lead environmental due diligence, assessment, and cleanup projects focusing on brownfield redevelopment and community revitalization.

The role requires 10+ years in the environmental field, with strong writing and communication skills, and familiarity with state and federal regulations. Primary work location is the Midwest with opportunities across the broader environmental services team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of environmental due diligence, assessment, remediation, and project management in Great Lakes states.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, environmental science, or engineering.
• Professional licensure (PG/PE) strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence, assessment, cleanup, and brownfield redevelopment projects with focus on safety, quality, budget, and deadlines.
• Oversee Phase I and Phase II ESAs, sampling projects, and senior review of deliverables.
• Prepare proposals and marketing materials.
• Assist with grant applications for environmental projects.
• Scope and schedule field investigations.
• Write and review technical work plans, reports, and health and safety plans.
• Provide field support including work planning and safety planning.
• Coordinate environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air).
• Oversee field contractors and labs; manage sampling documents.
• Oversee environmental cleanup activities.
