Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and Advanced Practice Practitioners in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include validating patient identifiers, preparing rooms, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and handling scheduling and data entry in the EMR.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an MA program or active MA certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or current MA certification.
• Competencies: working knowledge of English.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic.
• Team-based care and patient-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for examinations.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Draw blood and collect lab samples per policy.
• Assist with patient intake and documentation in Epic.
• Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries.
• Support physicians and nurses during visits and charting.
