Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Per Diem Medical Assistant (FGP) to support clinicians in Astoria. Responsibilities include preparing patients, collecting vital signs, drawing blood, and processing lab specimens in EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant from a nationally recognized program required or to be obtained upon hire.
• Working knowledge of English; ability to communicate effectively; multitasking in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and Advanced Practice Providers with patient care including preparing exam rooms and patients.
• Take and record vital signs, collect specimens, and perform Point of Care testing as allowed.
• Enter and update patient information in EPIC and ensure HIPAA compliance.
