Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Brooklyn to join our multidisciplinary team. You will update electronic records, manage physician inboxes, and assist in front-office duties while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, education on medications and home care, basic lab tasks, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting physicians during exams. Requires NYS LPN license and BLS, with healthcare teamwork at the core.

Qualifications

• Current NYS LPN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities with patients and staff.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to any NYH location for patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format.
• Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks via ONCO EMR.
• Greet patients and perform front-office duties such as answering calls and scheduling.
• Maintain medical inventory and place orders for new materials as needed.
• Record vital signs, weight, and medical history before appointments.
• Prepare examination rooms and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Provide patient education on medications, disease management, and home treatments.
