Job summary

AvalonBay Communities is seeking a dedicated Leasing Consultant to join our extraordinary leasing team at one of our Brooklyn apartment communities. You will drive daily leasing operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and tailor tours and floorplan recommendations to individual resident preferences.

Weekend availability is required; the role emphasizes relationship-building, proactive outreach, and promoting luxury living experiences in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a leasing or customer service role, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily leasing operations and provide exceptional customer service.
• Conduct personalized tours and match residents to floorplans based on preferences.
• Follow up on leads with tailored updates to convert inquiries and drive leasing performance.
