Job summary

EmergencyMD is looking for a Full-Time Counselor in Brooklyn, NY. In this pivotal role, you will develop person-centered treatment plans for individuals facing substance use disorders and provide individual and group counseling. Qualifications

• Must have CASAC credentialing or be in the process of obtaining the credential.
• Flexibility in schedule including weekends if needed.
• Experience working with co-occurring and mental health problems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop person-centered treatment plans for clients with Substance Use Disorder.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Maintain accurate records required by OASAS and other agencies.

Skills

Proficiency in The Twelve Core Functions

2-3 years of experience with substance abuse disorders

Flexibility in schedule

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, AWARDS)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

CASAC credentialing or in process
