Job summary

Oxford Senior Living in Brooklyn seeks counselors to gain experience in the substance use and mental health field. You will provide support to patients, help keep them engaged in treatment, and lead individual/group sessions in a detox/inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining unit operations, coordinating with nursing and clinical staff, and delivering workshops. This is a full-time role with daytime hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CASAC T certification required.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Patient-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.

Looking to gain experience in thesubstance use and/or mental health field? We are seeking counselors to join our team. Urban Recovery is an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder. Our medical facility is located in Brooklyn and provides each step of care from the detox, medication assisted treatment, rehab and recovery therapy. Unit counselors will be responsible forproviding support to patientsto reduce barriers to treatment andkeeping patients engaged in addiction treatmentservices. They will model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills while encouraging and inspiring hope for a patient in recovery.

Career Growth:

Hands-on caseload experience ideal for new graduates and students.

Learning experience:

Work detox, MAT, rehab, and recovery therapy.

Client Support:

Lead individual/group sessions and run workshops.

Unit Care:

Maintain the detox or inpatient unit and track schedules.

Departmental Collaboration:

Coordinate daily with nursing, operations and clinical staff.

Sunday to Thursday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
