Job Summary:

Operations Supervisor

Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade in the heart of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, has redefined the destination entertainment experience. Following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as “one of the most incredible places on Earth,” by Rolling Stone, we’ve stacked the deck for a truly unforgettable experience.

With three levels spanning nearly 80,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest music venues in America. Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 32 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.

This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations and Operation Managers in overseeing all aspects of food, beverage and bowling. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving guest service standards to ensure the profitable operation of Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Review activities in all areas: the restaurant, bars, bowling lanes, service areas, etc. in order to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
2. Monitors and evaluates performance of all food, beverage and bowling areas, in order to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
3. Review ongoing opportunities such as cost of sales, inventory par levels, and general policies and procedures in order to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.
4. Assist with pre-screening potential candidates, retain, motivate, evaluate and direct employees to ensure they receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
5. Ensure that all areas adhere to strict health code guidelines to maintain “A” status.

NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of food and beverage production and preparation techniques.
2. Familiarity with effective food and beverage service techniques and sales strategies.
3. Familiarity with the latest in food service and beverage service equipment.
4. Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to computer keyboard.
5. Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
6. Communicate effectively at all times, with guests as well as all levels of employees.
7. Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise; the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
8. Observe and direct actions of employees.
9. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
10. Understanding you may be scheduled to work on peak business days to assist with the running of buyouts, concerts and events.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to move throughout the venue during the entire shift.
2. Must have the endurance and ability to walk between 3 - 5 miles per shift to ensure adequate observation of assigned area.
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
4. Must be able to verbally communicate.
5. Visual abilities needed for detailed paperwork and observation.
6. Ability to bend, twist, stoop, climb and stand to perform normal job functions.
7. Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time.
8. Must be able to stand for entire shift.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
2. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to loiter in areas restricted to 21 years old and are not served alcoholic beverages.
3. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the standard operation of food and beverage operations in Las Vegas, NV.
4. Takes the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
5. Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
