Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under radiologist direction, with independent judgement and responsibility for designated areas. Requirements include NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection and ARRT MRI certification, High School diploma and radiologic technology training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program
• NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection
• ARRT certification in MRI
• Epic tracking equipment familiarity
• MRI systems proficiency

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and room for MRI procedures
• Obtain scout and cross-sectional images
• Assist radiologist during procedures including biopsies
• Operate MRI equipment and adjust protocol sequences
• Label, process and display images for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain records of image slices and injections
• Follow radiation safety rules for patients and staff
• Train others in MRI procedures

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program

NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection

ARRT certification in MRI
