Job summary
Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under radiologist supervision. The role requires independent judgment, accurate data entry in Epic, proper patient positioning, and adherence to radiation safety standards.
Shifts include Sunday 7a-330p and Monday-Thursday 12noon-8:30p. The ideal candidate holds NYS registered radiologic technologist with injection, ARRT MRI certification, and completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program
- MRI Systems
- Radiographic film processor
- Epic tracking equipment
- NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection
- ARRT certification in MRI
- OHS Fit Test/OHS Annual Assessment
Responsibilities
- Enter patient data into Epic and other computer systems
- Position patient on scan table for MRI
- Set MRI protocols and sequences for high quality images
- Assist radiologist during biopsies as needed
- Monitor procedure progression from control room
- Operate injector when necessary
- Photograph and label images for radiologist review
- Maintain records of image slices and injections
- Observe radiation safety rules for patients and staff
- Train other associates and students in MRI procedures
- Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed
- Perform related tasks
