Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under radiologist supervision. The role requires ARRT MRI certification, NYS radiologic technologist registration with injection, and completion of an approved radiologic technology program.

The selected candidate will handle patient prep, image acquisition, biopsy procedure support, injector operation, and image processing with Epic systems, while maintaining strict radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NY State Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection is required.
• ARRT MRI certification is required.
• Formal radiologic technology training program completed.
• OHS Fit Test / Annual Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and room and input data into Epic and related systems.
• Position patient and obtain scout image for the procedure.
• Acquire cross-sectional MRI images with appropriate protocols.
• Assist radiologist during biopsy procedures and monitor progress.
• Operate injector when necessary and maintain image records.
• Label, photograph, and display images for radiologist interpretation.
• Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and train others as needed.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist when required.
