Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in New York City is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform advanced imaging under the Chief Technologist's direction. You will execute MRI procedures with independent judgment, ensuring high-quality scans for radiologist interpretation.

The role includes patient preparation, protocol setup, assisting during biopsies, image labeling, and maintaining records, while upholding radiation safety and training trainees.

Qualifications

• NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection.
• ARRT certification in MRI.
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
• Experience with Epic tracking systems and MRI equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and rooms and enter data in Epic as needed.
• Set protocols and sequences to obtain high-quality MRI images.
• Assist radiologist during biopsies and monitor progression of procedures.
• Label, process, and display MRI images for interpretation.
• Maintain records of image slices and injections.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Train associates and students in MRI procedures.
• Keep assigned area orderly and clean.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as required.
• Handle other related tasks.
