Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a data analyst support role to analyze brokerage data, reconcile information, and validate reporting for clients and advisors. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and resolve escalations while contributing to growth.

The role emphasizes independent initiative, strong communication, and detailed documentation of metrics. In-office collaboration with flexibility to work from home one day per week is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
• A passion and enthusiasm for the financial services industry.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and willingness to learn new processes and systems.
• Strong analytical (quantitative/qualitative), problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and business partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively summarize and communicate results from data request analyses.
• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for evaluating data.

Responsibilities

• Become well-versed in-house and vendor systems for research and problem solving.
• Analyze summary and exception information from reconciliation reporting.
• Document metrics based on reporting results.
• Use findings to generate recommendations for internal and external partners.
• Transmit reporting exceptions to vendor for client website updates.
• Validate client website updates.
• Document processes or reporting enhancements.
• Resolve or help resolve client and advisor escalations or other immediate ad hoc requests.
• Maintain effective and trusting relationships with key business partners.
• Provide support to small to medium sized projects.
• Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects, process improvements, issue resolution, and priorities.
