Job Description

A bit about this role:

As the Broker Manager you will be responsible for the success, engagement and production of our independent agents. You will work closely with operations and field sales management to ensure the brokers have a clear line of sight to Devoted's mission and the plan for growth.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Responsible for a territory, including: managing contacts, executing on market / region sales goals and objectives (sales events, training, etc), and meeting or exceeding sales objectives through broker channel
  2. Meeting with brokers and agencies to build relationships and promote our brand
  3. Analyzing reports and providing a plan of action for increased production
  4. Providing real time feedback from the field brokers. Training for brokers both classroom and field.
  5. Influencing brokers to sell more by positioning our product and promoting our brand.
  6. Coordinating effectively with local sales team
  7. Reporting on daily activities to ensure sales are consistent with incremental market goals
  8. Adhering to and maintains current understanding of compliance requirements and organizational policies & procedures

Required skills and experience:

  1. State Health Insurance License in good standing
  2. Unrestricted driver's license to verify your eligibility and capability to fulfill the driving responsibilities associated with the position
  3. Strong presentation skills and ability to present to a group or individual
  4. Strong communication skills – both verbal and written and active listening skills
  5. Strong organizational skills
  6. Strong relationship building skills
  7. Ability to collaborate well both internally and externally to support achievement of market objectives
  8. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  9. Knowledge of systems and technology and proficient with data analytics
  10. Knowledge of marketing strategy, value proposition
  11. Adherence to CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and procedures
  12. Medicare knowledge preferred
  13. Self starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive
  14. Knowledge base of the market and the broker environment within the market. Engaging personality traits that identify with agents and inspires allegiance.

  2. Curious and inquisitive. Understanding the mission but challenging norms for better results
  3. Calm under pressure and cultivate a growth mindset.

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 / year plus on-target commission potential (based on performance)

Our ranges are purposefully broad to allow for growth within the role over time. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
