Broker Assistant for Wholesale Insurance

The Broker Assistant will oversee a portfolio of clients through relationship building and client account development. This is a remote role. Responsibilities include handling service requests, identifying potential risk issues, quoting additional coverages and policies, and tracking renewals.

Requirements

• Property & Casualty license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous P&C wholesale insurance experience.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office and agency management software.
• Knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverage, products, markets, rating, and underwriting procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills; effective verbal and written communication, active listening, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and apply knowledge to achieve results.
• Capable of following and developing processes to improve efficiency.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Manage client service needs including endorsements, proofs of insurance, cancellations, inspections, correspondence, coverage analysis, and claims reporting.
• Interact with clients to discuss needs, respond to inquiries, solicit sales, and resolve issues.
• Process renewals and remarket accounts for renewal marketing.
• Provide quotes for additional lines of business as needed.
• Handle account transactions accurately and timely following agency procedures.
• Follow credit and collection procedures for invoicing and payments.
• Manage cancellations according to standards, addressing requests from carriers and clients.
