Job summary

Ruth's Chris La Cantera in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member for BOH duties. You will follow the Chef’s directions, maintain high sanitation and food safety standards, and assist in opening and closing duties as assigned.

Daily tasks include coordinating with the Chef to ensure timely, high-quality entrées and communicating any issues. Ability to lift heavy items, stand for hours, and operate in a fast-paced environment is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry 50–100 pounds.
• Able to stand for up to four hours.
• Able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef and/or butcher in cutting meat following Ruth’s Chris standards.
• Report problems with equipment, sanitation, or food supply to the Chef or Manager on Duty.
• Assist side cook and kitchen staff in food preparation per Ruth’s Chris recipes.
• Supervise kitchen line during service, ensuring quality, timing and presentation.
