Job Description

Provide technical and administrative support to the Executive Sous Chef, ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen and food outlets.

Responsibilities

  1. Support the restaurant chef/sous chef and supervisor.
  2. Assist in staff training.
  3. Maintain quality and consistency of all food served.
  4. Ensure stations are prepared 15 minutes before service.
  5. Ensure timely availability of all necessary food supplies.
  6. Assist in controlling food costs.
  7. Learn all menu items produced by your assigned station.
  8. Handle refrigeration and cold food service.
  9. Assist in order production.
  10. Ensure product availability across outlets.
  11. Maintain proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
  12. Keep the kitchen clean and organized daily.
  13. Ensure staff compliance with Ecosure rules and procedures.
  14. Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
  15. Oversee maintenance of walk-in coolers, including food rotation and cleanliness.
  16. Maintain hands-on control over daily food production.
  17. Monitor kitchen safety practices.
  18. Ensure food quality and consistency.
  19. Understand hotel and kitchen expectations and guidelines.
  20. Assist in checking prep and inventory lists.

Qualifications

  1. Basic knife and prep skills.
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
  3. Ability to multitask.
  4. Ability to stand for 8+ hours daily.
  5. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
