Job summary

The University of Arizona Athletics Department is seeking a part-time Broadcasting Operations, Stats Crew/Table Crew to support live broadcasts with in-game statistics and score updates. This role requires working nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include recording statistics for on-screen graphics, coordinating with game management and officials, and ensuring accuracy and timely information during events. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA, Big 12, and University rules related to the position.

The University of Arizona's Athletics Department invites you to apply for the role of Broadcasting Operations, Stats Crew/Table Crew. This position creates and distributes news and programming that keeps the public engaged, informed, and entertained through audio, video, and written channels while supporting live Athletics broadcasts through in-game statistics, scoreboard and stat-tracking operations, and accurate event information. The role collaborates with Game Management, officials, and replay and video operators to support smooth broadcast production.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Control and record in-game statistical information for use in on-screen graphics, including lower thirds, full-screen graphics, and overlays.
  • Prepare and record in-game statistical information and text for use during live broadcasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Game Management and officials to ensure information is accurate and shared with the Conference.
  • Manage live statistics, including game clocks, score updates, and player information during games.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with graphics software and hardware during live events to ensure accurate information is presented.
  • Ensure proper formatting and storage of statistical elements for future use.
  • Coordinate with Replay and Video Operators to ensure smooth transitions between graphics and video segments and maintain accuracy of information.
  • Operate, update, and record scoreboard and stat-tracking systems during events, ensuring real-time accuracy.
  • Budget accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Demands
  • Outdoor Environment: Employees work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions.
  • Extreme Cold: Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for more than an hour.
  • Extreme Heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for more than an hour.
  • Noise: May work in environments with noise levels that require raised voices to communicate effectively.
  • Lifting: Employees may be required to lift, move, or transport up to 40 lbs.
