Job summary

ANCO is seeking a Broadcast Tower Crew Chief in Hartford, SD to lead field crews performing installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of broadcast infrastructure. The role blends hands-on tower work with leadership responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

The ideal candidate has extensive tower industry experience, strong leadership, and a solid background in antennas, transmission lines, rigging, and RF work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in the tower industry, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Experience with broadcast tower construction, antennas, coax, and RF systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety, fall protection, and rigging best practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings and tower maps.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of broadcast tower crews and assign tasks.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of towers and related gear.
• Perform rigging operations, antenna installs, line replacements, and structural mods.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and site safety briefings.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subs.
• Maintain project documentation and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement solutions.
• Train and mentor technicians to promote safety and professionalism.
• Inspect tools, PPE, and vehicles for readiness.
