Job summary

Anuvu seeks a Broadcast Teleport Technician to ensure timely and accurate availability of all programming content for MTNTV. You will coordinate daily transmission activities, maintain program media data, and support a robust TV content platform.

This onsite role in Holmdel, NJ requires on-call availability for emergencies and weekend events. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver reliable broadcast infrastructure, with duties spanning preparation, quality

Qualifications

• Two years of college or technical school required.
• 1–2 years of experience in broadcast operations preferred (NOC/Program Prep).
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilledBroadcast Teleport Technician responsible for the timely and accurate availability of all programming content for MTNTV. This role coordinates daily activities of the transmission service function on the network while accurately maintaining all necessary information on program media and various systems. The goal is to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of our broadcast infrastructure for seamless live TV delivery to our subscribers.

Reporting directly to the Broadcast Master Control Room Manager and will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and partners to build and operate a robust, scalable, and reliable TV content platform. This position requires onsite presence, and availability for on-call support during technical emergencies as well as weekend coverage during scheduled live broadcast events.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Follow all standard operating procedures to ensure effective results on all workflows.
• Schedule listing service, conditional access and automation.
• Monitor service level and take appropriate action to maintain.
• Schedule recording and monitor live broadcast events.
• Generate reports identifying the media status during various stages in the life of a program, ensuring all program media is accurate and available for broadcast.
• Establish good working relationship with internal/external departments to ensure timely completion of various tasks.
• Monitor and maintains quality levels for the telecommunications network for anomalies and handle issues from customers according to established procedures for management and technical escalations.
• Actively participate in group discussions and meetings.
• Disseminate appropriate information to direct report and department as needed.
• Performs Program Preparation and Quality Control tasks of media content, commercial and promotional spots.
• Use test, measurement and diagnostic equipment to analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, document and restore digital services
• Initiates emergency restoration procedures following commercial power failures.
• Monitors earth station and terrestrial systems for proper operation.
• Documents and troubleshoots station equipment and initiates equipment repairs.
• Works with customers in the configuration and troubleshooting of satellite receiver equipment (Cisco).
• Monitors RF, IF, and L-band satellite networks
• Other duties as may be assigned.
• The ideal candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and have the ability to analyze relationships between problem components.
• Capacity to identify and prioritize issues. Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and resourceful individual.

• 2 years of college or technical school, 1 – 2 years of experience within the broadcast industry is required (preferably in Operations, NOC and/or Program Prep).
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with a client-focused attitude.
• Ability to stay current with evolving broadcast and streaming technology trends.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with budgeting and cost management for technology initiatives.
• Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator.
• Ability to negotiate and liaise with customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
