Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to support Master Control, audio, editing, and live news production. You will operate field cameras, ENG/RF systems, and report on air operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in broadcast engineering, understands live newscast production, and maintains a strong driving record. This role requires flexibility with hours and a team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years broadcast engineering experience with live news.
• Understanding of live newscast production.
• Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work various hours and shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Master Control and Master control automation, production audio, and editing.
• Direct/TD newscasts and report.
• Operate automated cameras, CG graphics and Premiere editing.
• Expertise with Ross OverDrive automation (a plus) and ENPS.
• Coordinate with News department for live-shot needs.
• Scout live-shot locations for signal strength, safety and shot composition.
• Manage ENG gear: video/audio switchers, recorders, microwave equipment, monitors, and other digital equipment.
