Hearst Television’s WESH 2 and CW18 in Orlando, FL, seek a Broadcast Systems Technician to maintain and support broadcast and IT systems, ensuring on-air operations stay reliable. You’ll work across networking, servers, and live production to enable high-efficiency workflows and collaborative problem solving.

The role offers exposure to multi-station operations, centralized workflows, and opportunities to deploy new broadcast technologies within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting across broadcast and IT systems.
• Experience with TCP/IP, VPNs, and LAN environments.
• Familiarity with Windows servers and desktops.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast and IT systems to ensure reliable daily operations
• Execute and improve preventative maintenance programs
• Provide technical support to News, Production, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration
• Support live broadcasts and remote productions, including setup and troubleshooting
• Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment, servers, and workstations
• Travel as needed to transmitter sites, remote locations, and live event venues
• Document systems, workflows, and technical procedures
• Collaborate closely with engineering and IT team members to support station operations and new technology deployments
