Job summary

Evertz Microsystems seeks a skilled Broadcast Engineer to support and maintain complex broadcast video systems in a CA on-site setting. You will report to the Senior Manager of the Technical Operations Centre and serve as an expert advisor on advanced technologies including software-defined video networking and orchestration platforms.

You will monitor systems, manage incidents to resolution, and collaborate with engineering teams and customers to ensure optimal performance and rapid issue

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/degree in a relevant field or broadcast experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to relocate to California for on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical advisor or specialist on broadcast initiatives.
• Monitor systems, verify integrity and availability of hardware and processes.
• Ensure incidents are managed to resolution following SLA guidelines.
• Serve as single point of contact for multiple support cases.
• Provide feedback on requirements, design specifications and guidelines.
• Coordinate with departments and customers to deliver project outcomes.
• Define testing requirements to evaluate designs and validate platforms.
• Document departmental and technical procedures.
