Job summary

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus seeks a dependable Broadcast Stagehand (Per Diem Part-Time) to support daily productions in the DC area. You will help set up and dismantle studio scenes, backdrops, and props, while assisting with lighting and equipment setup to keep shows running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma (college/technical degree preferred) and at least 3 years of relevant live production experience. A valid local driver’s license and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; a 2-4 year college/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of recent stagehand/set technician experience in live broadcast or production environments.
• Must have a valid local driver’s license (DC, MD, VA) and a clean MVR/insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Execute placement and operation of studio scenes, sets, backdrops, and furniture per daily production needs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on scenic elements and studio equipment.
• Assist with placement and operation of studio lighting; ensure safe, efficient lighting setup.
