Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in broadcasting, media production, or related field.
• Minimum 1-year prior experience in master control operations preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately with names, numbers, and symbols.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates require strong attention to detail and dependability.
• Knowledge of computers and aptitude for operating electronic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Familiarity with FCC regulations and broadcast compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of broadcast areas, including local products, commercials, promos, and PSAs.
• Operate transmitter and control systems; monitor towers and respond to failures.
• Ensure quality control of audio levels and incoming feeds.
• Monitor feeds for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Operate master control equipment such as servers, switchers, routers, automation systems.
• Execute on-air schedules including commercials and live events.
• Coordinate with production for smooth transitions between live content.
• Maintain logs and documentation of broadcast activities.
• Ensure FCC compliance and company policies.
• Assist with training new staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
