Job summary

TEGNA Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to manage integration, maintenance, and support of broadcast and business information technology systems across the station.

The role reports to the Head of Technology and requires hands-on work with both broadcast-centric software and standard IT services. The position entails troubleshooting hardware and software, managing Windows Active Directory, and collaborating with Technology, Operations, Sales, and News teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or IT or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, networks, and Windows Active Directory.
• Experience with multimedia/file-based video tech is a plus.
• Good communication with non-technical end users.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of broadcast IT systems, software, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals, including servers, PCs, and network equipment.
• Maintain wiring and system configuration documentation; stay current on tech advances.
• Communicate status, updates, and solutions to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Be available to work varied hours, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Collaborate with Technology and Operations, Sales, News, and corporate IT support.
