Job summary

iHeartMedia is seeking a Broadcast Engineering Support Technician in Clearwater, FL. You will design, deploy and maintain electronic equipment for optimum transmission and reliability.

The role includes assisting clients and technicians, testing components, and performing preventative maintenance to keep systems running smoothly. Ideal candidates bring electronics training and broadcast ops experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of electronics training with four years in broadcast operations preferred.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces and lift 50 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy and maintain electronic equipment for optimum transmission and reliability.
• Assist clients and technicians with installation, training and support of software, hardware and peripherals.
• Test components to locate faults and diagnose malfunctions in electronic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and tool upgrades to ensure reliability.
• Align and calibrate RF transmission equipment per specifications and FCC rules.
• Maintain data integrity and backups for audio storage and systems.
• Support audio automation systems and internal department tools.
• Suggest capital improvements to engineering management.
