Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. in Green Bay, WI is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to help oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department and maintain all broadcast technology at the station and transmitter sites.

You will work with the Chief Engineer to implement new technologies, manage capital projects within budgets, coordinate fiber, A/V routing, audio, networking, and IT systems, and ensure compliance with FCC and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in a television broadcasting environment.
• IT/Networking background required.
• Familiarity with Bitcentral products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department under supervision of the Chief Engineer.
• Maintain all broadcast technology and equipment at the station and transmitter sites.
• Ensure compliance with FCC, local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Assist in implementing new technologies and technical infrastructure for the station.
• Support engineering and technology capital projects within established budgets.
