Job summary

NEP offers an Engineer Apprentice Program with structured rotations across Field Shop, Fiber Optics, Copper, and Systems Integration. You’ll gain hands-on experience in live production environments and learn from seasoned NEP engineers.

Prerequisites include an associate/technical degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on training, plus strong technical and teamwork skills and willingness to relocate after completion. Travel may be extensive depending on role.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in broadcast/electronics/engineering preferred.
• Formal training or hands-on experience in electronics, broadcast tech, cabling, or IP networking preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.
• Relocation after program completion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete hands-on technical rotations in Field Shop, Fiber Optics, Copper, Panheads, Sticks & Power Systems, and Systems Integration.
• Join Systems Integration Road Assignments to apply knowledge alongside NEP engineers in live environments.
• Learn equipment installation, wiring, configuration, documentation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, participate in testing, and support live productions.
