Job summary

JSI in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Director of Broadband Network Engineering to lead the Network Engineering team delivering design and deployment for ISP clients. You will own performance, delivery, and team development while engaging clients at an executive level.

This full-time, on-site role requires a strong technical foundation, significant leadership experience, and the ability to drive business development and strategic planning for nationwide clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years in technical/engineering roles with consulting/client-facing experience.
• 5+ years in team and performance management (managing managers or leaders).
• Proven track record managing senior client relationships in a consulting environment.
• Broad networking/telecom experience; RF, fiber, routing, switching knowledge valued.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the team of Managers and Senior Engineers.
• Own performance, utilization, delivery margins, and quality.
• Lead staffing decisions, reviews, compensation, and career progression.
• Serve as executive advisor to key clients on network strategy.
• Partner with VP on planning, staffing, and new service offerings.
• Establish and enforce technical standards and QA processes.
• Represent the practice in client escalations and contract discussions.
• Monitor KPIs, utilization, and financial performance.
• Support business development, including scoping and proposals.
