Job summary

Shentel is seeking Broaband Technicians to install and service video, internet, and phone services for homes and businesses. You will work on wiring, fiber, coax, and Ethernet; configure devices and help customers with their home networks. Training is provided as you learn the systems and safety procedures.

You’ll join a team with opportunities to grow, including experiences across field operations and weekend rotations where required, in a hands-on, in-home service environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate tactfully & effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with installing and servicing home or business video, internet and phone services is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs video, internet and phone services for residential and business customers.
• Installs and repairs all required wiring/cabling and hardware to support all services (fiber, coax, Ethernet).
• Programs and configures digital set top boxes, video appliances and home WiFi services; assists customers with configuration.
• Operates and maintains field tools, including ladders, test equipment, laptops/tablets and meters.
• Observes all safety procedures and may support on-call rotation and weekend work.
