Job summary

Brookestone Village in Omaha, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant (FT Days) to join our award-winning dietary team. You will assist with meal preparation, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, and help maintain a safe, welcoming dining environment.

Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required. The schedule runs 6:00am–2:30pm, with pay ranging from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or kitchen handler is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, such as pots and pans, up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
