Job summary

Qualifications
- Currently holding AWS CWI or Senior CWI with at least 10 years experience and ICC Welding Certificate.
- Must hold ICC High Strength Bolting Certificate.
- Familiar with AWS, ASME, API, and AWWA welding codes.
- Experience inspecting welding on bridge construction or seismic retrofit projects.
- Knowledge of Caltrans Standard Specifications and SSPs related to welding.
Responsibilities
- Inspect welding on bridge and related projects for QA and compliance.
- Review Welding Quality Control Plans prepared by contractors.
- Perform welding quality assurance inspections and verify contract requirements.
- Review Welding Reports prepared by contractors.
