Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer Internship for Summer 2027 in the Bridge Structures team. The role offers a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks between mid-May and end of August, under a dedicated supervisor and mentor.

Responsibilities include assisting with design calculations, modeling, inspections, site visits, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to prepare reports and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position with no prior experience required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications for bridges under senior engineers.
• Support structural modeling and analysis tasks.
• Participate in inspection activities, including field data collection, reporting, and documentation.
• Provide support in reviewing construction and shop drawings for design intent compliance.
• Accompany engineers on site visits to observe construction progress and verify field conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines.
• Assist with reports, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Gain exposure to industry design standards and requirements.
