Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Structures (Bridge) Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Mechanicsburg, PA office. This internship offers hands-on project experience in designing bridges and transportation structures using steel and concrete.

You will work with a team, develop contract plans, prepare estimates and construction specifications, and gain exposure to PennDOT projects. Local candidates preferred; no housing stipend provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing bridges and transportation structures using steel/concrete construction.
• Develop contract plans, prepare engineer's estimates and construction specifications.
• Perform construction support services.
