Telecommuting up to 3 days/week is possible, with national travel up to 60 days/year and occasional local site work. Requires a Bachelors or Masters in Civil/Structural Engineering and PE license, plus several years of bridge-related experience and

Qualificações

• Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering with 4 years of bridge design experience; or Master's with 3 years of bridge design experience.
• Must have PE license.
• Experience with construction techniques, materials science, hydraulics, safety standards, project management, CAD, and relevant codes.

Responsabilidades

• Complete performance evaluations of bridges through analysis of deflection, stress and strain.
• Ensure compliance of bridge code within all designs.
• Use Finite Element Analysis to ensure structural integrity of designs.
• Perform structural design of foundation, substructure and superstructure of a bridge.
• Prepare proposal documents incl technical details, goals and timeline and project budget.
• Draft construction specifications and special provisions for projects.
• Prepare construction cost estimates for bridge projects.
• Mentor to Engineer in Training employees.
• Review structural shop drawings and ensure conformance to design and safety standards.
• Present projects during conferences in collaboration with Senior Engineers.
