Job summary

BKF Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Bridge & Structures CADD Designer / Drafter to develop clear bridge and transportation plans, turning concepts into coordinated plan sets and 3D models for Caltrans and local agencies.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, applying Caltrans standards, coordinating with roadway, drainage, utilities teams, and supporting quality reviews. This role requires an Associate degree or higher and 5+ years of CADD experience with Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in drafting, CADD or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise bridge and structural plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces with roadway, drainage, utilities, traffic, geotechnical, and right of way teams.
• Apply Caltrans standards and client CADD conventions to file organization, layers, annotation, and deliverables.
• Check drawings for completeness and constructability; incorporate review comments.
• Create or contribute to 3D bridge and structural models when needed.
• Maintain organized project files and coordinate drawing production and reviews.
