Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah is seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our growing Structural/Bridge Engineering Group. You will design and check highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, walls, and related structures, collaborating with senior engineers and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 4+ years in civil/structural engineering with bridge design, a PE/SE license or pursuit, and proficiency in ORD/MicroStation and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license or PE, or ability to obtain licensure.
• Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles and AASHTO LRFD standards.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design.
• Proficiency with ORD/MicroStation and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks as part of an integrated engineering team.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff, including EITs.
• Perform structural/bridge analysis, engineering calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks.
• Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations.
• Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and design summaries.
• Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT.
• Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and proposal efforts as needed.
