Job summary

Consor is seeking a motivated Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our Draper, Utah office. You will work within a growing group on diverse bridge and structural projects, collaborating with senior engineers and a team lead with decades of experience.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, plan development, and reports, plus mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project managers, local governments, and UDOT. Hybrid in-office/field work is required; licensing pathways encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license, PE, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Demonstrated experience with bridge design principles, methodologies, and current AASHTO LRFD standards.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks as part of an integrated engineering team.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff, including EITs.
• Perform structural/bridge analysis, engineering calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks.
• Develop and review structural/bridge plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documents.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide recommendations.
• Support and lead preliminary engineering and final design efforts.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and design summaries.
• Coordinate with internal project managers, coworkers, local governments, and UDOT.
• Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and proposal efforts as needed.
